Out & About: Babylonstoren
Hello! A few weekends ago I had the privileged to visit Cape Town and surrounds again. This time my MUST VISIT was the Babylonstoren Farm, specifically the Restaurant called "BABEL". Oh I was in heaven, everything white and gorgeous with natural splashes of colour brought in by the lemons, pumpkins & fresh herbs. We went for breakfast. The menu only had 3 options which made my life much easier, otherwise I spend way to long pondering which meal to order. I had a wonderful omelet filled with melted brie, served with exotic mushrooms and elegantly garnished with beetroot slices... I must warn you that their waiting list is 2 months, so best you book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. There is much more to do and experience on this immaculately kept Farm. Inspiration: Vintage Dictionary Gift Wrapping
Hello, a few weeks ago I bought a vintage dictionary for R5 at a little stall in Zoo Lake.... yes, I couldn't believe my luck! Immediately I started dreaming up ideas of how to use this little treasure. In this example I carefully tore out three pages and glued them together with double-sided tape to make one big piece. I wrapped the gift and made a bow out of old film. {You can see step by step instructions here on how to do it}. I then glued another piece of the dictionary paper to cardboard and cut out a tag, punched a hole and voila!

Feature: NEW Ombre Birth Announcments
Good morning! A new colour buzz word is Ombre, what Ombre? Yes, Ombre basically means having colours or tones that shade into each other, in which the colour is graduated from light to dark. So this was
my inspiration for my newest range of Birth Announcements, it's fresh and modern and work really well with
black & white or colour photographs. It is now available in my on-line shop : R100 for the Printable file {why not add R75 for a collage of pics of your precious one for the back/second card}. You can choose if you would like to have it with or without the little Zebra and other colour combinations are available on request.

Feature: NEW Vinyl Gift Stickers
Hello!
I LOVE wrapping gifts... and always try to come up with new ways to re-use and up-cycle. I designed these pretty 'Vinyl Gift Stickers' {in Afrikaans & English} with fun wording that can be used for Birthdays or as Thank you's...It is now available in my on-line shop at R20 a sheet of 6 stickers.
I couldn't resist this past weekends' Jubilee Edition of our English Newspaper. {I must admit it is the first Newspaper - except the pretty Chinese ones - that I have bought in ages}. The bold print of Queen Elizabeth was just too pretty and the perfect backdrop for my new stickers in combination with the Bakers Twine that I bought from the KAMERS on-line shop. {You can read that article here}.

New: Feature Winter-warm up Teen Birthday Party
Hello!
Jason's mom contacted me to design an invite and come up with a theme for his 16th Birthday Party. We thought to make most of the cold weather and decided on a 'winter warm-up theme' with a warm red/orange colouring and I decided to use a black moon to add some masculinity {and the excitment of having a party at night!} . Think... warm pizzas, hot chocolate, a nice fire outside where the teens can 'braai' marshmallows... we even made special star shaped (hot) chocolate lollies packaged with a few mini marshmallows as 'thank you' gifts to take home to make the warmth last a bit longer! We printed the invites as well as A4 posters that folds in half to classify different areas eg. liquid station (drinks), pizza station (food), please take one (thank you gifts) and the 'winter warm-up' (marshmallows braai!). We also printed vinyl thank you labels with instructions for the (hot)chocolate star shaped lollies.
I hope you are now inspired to keep warm!
Love
Liezel
